Writer, therapist and podcaster

Bio

I was born in Dublin and now live in an old farmhouse on the foothills of a mountain in the south west of Ireland.

Published by Eriu/Bonnier UK my first novel Sparks of Bright Matter was inspired by the magic of the mountain where I live and the whispers of the ancient stories buried in the surrounding landscape.

I started my storytelling career working in radio with RTE and BBC - and have made a number of award winning documentaries for RTE’s Doc on One series. Notably THE LADIES OF LLANGOLLEN about two Irish aristocrats who ran away together in the 18th century and DIVING AND FALLING about dancer and artist Lucia Joyce.

I present and produce Into the Mythic - a podcast exploring the myths and legends of Ireland’s past.

In 2019 I completed an intensive person-centred psychotherapy training at Turning Point Institute in Dublin with accreditation by UCC.

I offer a unique approach to therapy based on my experiences as a writer and a psychotherapist.
